what to do with fuel for winter

I fill the tank and let it sit for five months or so. Never add or disconnect anything. Always starts right up with no problems in the spring. That's with southwest Michigan winters. Same for my mom's A in central Ohio.

I keep all my Model A gas tanks full all winter. I use it in my generator so we can watch tv, use our computers, and keep the refeig. going when we're snowed in and the power goes off.

Ethanol free gas is still available in MN but costs up to a buck a gallon extra. I'll pay the price to have a car that starts right up in the spring, and doesn't gum up or rust the tank.

The question about E-85.............That garbage is almost pure corn oil crap. It's 85 % crap gas and is not even good for parts cleaning.

Henry loved Ethanol fuels (corn) check out this link...

Ethanol fuel has a problem with attracting moisture and being corrosive to some items such as rubber and some metals. it works in modern cars ok if they were manufactured to use it and used most of the time if your modern iron was to sit for too long a period there would be shop bills associated with draining the tank and maybe cleaning injectors or carbs.
