What snake oil?

Everyone has a favorite. I have a 59 F250 4x4 with a 292 that sat a lot of years. I have it running and have started it quite a few times, but just briefly. I whacked in some new freeze plugs and changed the filter while I had it off. I'm going to dump out the oil and wondering what's the best stuff to pour in for a run up to temperature and a spin around the yard. I know there are as many opinions as people and I've never been a big snake oil advocate, seems to me it's more for the human than the car . Maybe just a quart of diesel?

Three quarts of Rotella T 10w30 and a quart of Rizlone. Drive it 50 miles then back home and drain it hot. Refill with Rotella T 15w40. Remove the rocker covers and make sure you have good oil to the top. You may need to restrict the oil overflow tubes to get good oil to the left side of the shaft.

For waking up old sticky engines, I just add a pint or quart of Marvel Mystery Oil and drive it around town for a week and then drop the oil and filter.

I've been using Rotella in everything but I've heard they took out the zinc when they reformulated it a couple years ago. As bad as I hate Walmart, I might have to go buy some Ford oil there. I've been adding Lucas in my old 260.
I plan to pull the valve covers to adjust the valves and make sure it's oiling. Top end oiling on the Y blocks was an issue back when a lot of them were running around. NAPA even used to sell an outside oiler kit. The last one I had not oiling back in about 86, I had to make the outside oiler myself.

do you know what happened to the original snake oil peddler?he was taken to court and lost because his product had no snake oil in it.
