What size fitting

What size is the fitting on the bottom of the filter canister on a 50 model with Flathead V8
Brass fitting that the oil line goes into. It's not a 1/2. 9/16 13 or 14 millimeter. Trying to put a wrench on it to hold it while I undo the line. Just curious what size it is. Guess I will use a crescent wrench

Not gonna be metric, should be 1/4" line, 7/16 wrench on the male end of the line,
9/16 on the female on the canister. Maybe the last guy used a crescent wrench! have you got line wrenches?

Get yourself a set of these, a cheap set is all you need for the amount of times you use them.

Yes I do have a set of line wrenches. It just seems like it is so tight that if I put a lot of pressure on the fitting it will round off. I am sure it has been on a off several times over the years.
I have a small hand held torch. I think I can heat the fitting without any danger. Will heat help loosen a brass fitting?
