what makes a t Jump

hi fellas,
Im fixing a 24 t coupe for a friend. When you push the clutch pedal down into low it engages as it should, after i get it moving i let it out into high like normal but the tranmission "jumps" or "slips".
has anybody else had this happen? How do i correct it?

Clutch may be slipping. Do you let off on the gas between shifts like a normal car?

no i leave it about half throttle, our other t is normal like that

In my T when "shifting" from low to high, I pretty much close the throttle all the way to get to lowest rpms. Also start out in low with spark slightly advanced, then shift into high, then advance spark once in high. Helps avoid the lurches and shakes.

If you don't let the gas off like shifting a regular stick transmission the clutch can slip.
