I bought my Fordor from an estate trust - it was owned by a guy in his 90s. I knew *nothing* about Model As, I still dont know much but thanks to this board I'm, learning every day.
By all reports the guy really knew his stuff but it's clear he did everything halfway, I've got a list a mile long of stuff that I've had to fix or set right..
Anyway, I got it with a trunk loaded with stuff, among them is a couple of spark plugs with a cathedral welded onto it..
Anyone have any idea what this would be used for?

May be a handle to remove or install a head ,NOT strong enough to use in removing an engine IMO, based on the quality of the weld. Bob

Perhaps it was used on some type of engine that during use was prone to getting the plugs hit and broken.

The poor guy just kept losing tools or lending them to the wrong people, so finally when all he had left was the tire iron and his arc welder, he made this conversion so he could still remove the sparkplugs...
