What is this hole for??

I have this hole in the top of each door in my '30 Roadster. Was it used as a lock, or ...??

The hole is for side curtain metal rod ..put rod in and turn it to lock ..sc

If you need those side curtain rods, they are reproduced. I'm not sure on the repro rods, but my original phaeton rods have PR and PL for Phaeton Left and Phaeton Right. Bert's in Denver might have original rods. 800-321-1931
