to add... People will post the BTT into a thread that has aged and is no longer on the first page of the listing. By posting to the thread it treats it as new activity and moves it to the top position. Also called bumping the thread. Common in classified ads.

PM is where someone can send you a message similar to an email that is not visible to the forum.

Go to the very top of a page and click on USER CP. Scrolle down when that page loads for PM info.

As stated BTT is used a lot in the classified ads to keep the ad near the top of the first page. I believe you may only use it at 3-day intervals.
