Fifty years ago there was a pretty good Whippet rusting away near Toponas, Colorado. I went back two years ago and only found a few bolts. I waited a tad too long to retrieve it.
Well, there's the verdict. How can you tell a Whippet from a Model A? If you find a Whippet in a field after 50 years you'll need more than a fresh battery and gas, a topped-off radiator, an oil change, and a pint of MMO down the distributor shaft before you can drive it homeAnyone on "WhipetBarn" care to comment? Is there such a site?
Much cooler here in CT today. Excellent "A" weather.
