I have been with JC Taylor for years, with no claims-however, they don't cover cars under restoration and so, next month I switch to Hagerty, because apparently they have no problem with cars needing restoration work from time to time and that are inop.

I have JC Taylor. Amazingly inexpensive. I actually had to make a claim with them too. Was backing the Coupe out of the barn at the beginning of the season this year, and somehow I scraped the fender against the barn and dented it and tore off the paint. I freaked out!!! Called my broker, they said no problem, get them a quote. I said there is only 1 place I'm dealing with to get my "A" fixed, they said no problem, just get the quote and the check will be in the mail. Within a week I had the check and the "A" was fixed and never could tell the difference. I then just had to send them (JC) a picture that it was fixed and they took my aggreed value back up to the full $12,000. I hated that I had to file a claim, but it was a piece of cake, and no rates were raised either.
