What hubs are these ?

I got these hubs and drums when I bought a few parts, Was told they are 46-48 but I thought 46-48 hubs have a notch in them. So what are these for ?

Spragg... I have a 34 and the rear drums have the notch , and the notches are for pulling the drum off the axle, I think your drums are as you were told JMO... D.

Maybe a dumb question but what is this "notch" you are talking about? Any pictures?

Those look to be as they were represented to you, '46-'48 hubs mount outside the drum. Best way to confirm this is the center hole in the drum, it should be 4" diameter. The earlier drum has a smaller center hole. The late hubs are preferred by hot rodders for the Buick aluminum finned drum conversion.
