Took typing in 1965 as junior in HS. Got first computer at work in about 1980. Was surprised how fast it came back. Have driven and worked on Fords, Chevys, Dodges and GMC's. All have their plusses and minuses IMO. My favorite was a 1942 GMC CCKW 6x6 that I used to go out and check roads at about 4:00 AM after a heavy snow the night before to see if roads were passable for the school busses. Also worked great for getting busses out of the bar pit if they got off the road and got stuck. A real dependable workhorse. Always got the job done. Still on the job today.
 
Don't worry about looking at the keyboard. Spelling is way over rated, all you need is the first and last letter in place and all the rest of the word can be jumbled and you can still read it.

That is always interesting, but it would take me 10 times longer to try to type that than to just whip out the correct spelling. I too took typing in HS and it was the best class ever. I can type much faster than I can write. I don't know how many words per minute, but it sure is a fast way to communicate. All of this was probably 20 secs max.
