Ok, I know these are v8 shock of some sort but don’t know the years. What is the distributor thingy? They are for sale and will be posted when I get years.

looks like a bunch of old mechanical fuel pumps to me. and maybe an oil filter. and window handle...or maybe just play it safe and just say a bunch of old car parts, eh?

I see two 37-40 front shock absorbers and three earlier ones, which I am not familiar with. I also see a helmet distributor, look for a number by the drive tang to indicate which model it is, and the oil filter cannister.

Considerably better answers than a careless photo deserves, with or without imaginary fuel pumps.

37-41 Distributor. The shocks are post 39 with earlier bolt on arms. If the one shock has a pressed on arm it may be 40-?

I believe Zeke has it ! They stopped using those shocks about 1947. My '47 has them on front only - tubular shocks of rear. The distributor is pre-1940 ? The oil filter would fit most flathead's.

Distributor is 37 - 41 as Terry had rightly advised. Oil filter housing is 49 - 53.
The shocks with the pressed-on arms appear to be 1940 (correct, small diameter body) while the shocks with the bolt on arms appear to be 35 or 36.

Thank you all for the info. I apologize for the bad picture. They will go in the for sale section for a very low price.

Mike

Consider letting them go for the price of shipping to someone who really needs them, if you got them for free.

No problem. I realized it after you posted and went…duh. They are going into the for sale section. The price will be awesome!
