What do I have a 40 or 41 ?

I got the numbers off my frame *18-6338558* My Minnesota title/registration from 1957 list it as a 1940. This is panel truck. I want to work through getting a new title. The frame #'s would say it's a 1941. The hood is a 1940. Can anyone shead some light on this? Thanks, Pete

My 36' is titled as a 1935 because it was sold in December 1935. That's the way PA does it and maybe that's why the discrepancy with yours.

If the frame no.s match the title, you're golden. In 57 that stuff was all typed by hand so it could just be a transcription error, or it could be as suggested.. sold in 1940.
