What can i use?

My goal is to make a 29 standard roadster with rumble seat and i have parts i thought were correct for this, but i guessed wrong can you explain from the pictures what i have and what i will need to change to make the rumble area work. The latch is in the wrong area for the rumble lid i have, and the new hinge braces are 3/4" to short, thats what i have found out so far. I could use some help to figure out what i started with and what i can use.

What you have are "parts" for a 30-31 deck area.

The 28-29's were located within the channel as you have it positioned.

See page 411 of the Ford Service Bulletins.

Maybe even the wrong deck lid...not sure on that one.

I think the brackets you need are the ones to the left for 28-29.

The Deck rain gutter channel is 30-31...

Not sure on the deck lid...

For 28-29, I believe you need the bracket on the left as that is what is in my 1929 Standard Coupe.

it appears you have a rain gutter from a 30-31 cabriolet instead of a 28-29
when you put the striker at the front,the rear of the channel is notched to clear the latch hook

once the striker is in place you will have to measure to fit the handle
It is not a hard job,

Thanks sounds like it is workable, why are the new hinge brackets to short?

I think I have a set of braces like the ones on the left if you need them, cheap.
