What Brakes?

There was much discussion a few years ago (probably on the old Ford Barn) about primary and secondary shoes. On modern ? cars with drum brakes the primary shoe basically forces the secondary shoe into the drum (self actuating) and this is what does the braking. One of the shoes has a shorter lining. I was thinking about this again and noted one of the comments about one of the shoes wearing out much faster than the other one. I would be interested in seeing a picture if it exists.
