What are these?

These showed up with a bunch of used and NOS 38ish body parts - fenders, braces, splash shields, etc. but the business part of the tags is missing. I've combed the diagrams and can't match anything up.

Both are about 2 feet long in the longest dimension. I'm guessing somne sort of header or splash apron for the first one and a frame extension for the second.

Dang!...Did these cars ever look that beautiful and shiny when new? I grew up in the 50s but don't remember chrome looking that good back then.

It wasn't. Ever hear of "Korean War Chrome"? There was a shortage of nickel and copper because of the "police action", so the chrome was rather iffy. When I was a kid, I remember seeing many of these cars (mostly 51-53's) only a few years old with rusty chrome trim.

I see some similar things, but nothing exact. I'll flip through the books I have and see if anything pops up.

Didn't find much. Maybe a radiator support bracket?
