The shot of this engine area looks different to me..Is this a different setup or do all model A's look like this?? I am mostly referring to the area to the right of the engine... What is the long part running parallel to the engine?
Thanks,

Typical 1940's 'up grade'. Voltage regulator, starter solenoid mounted to firewall. Later headlites & V-8 wheels.

The angle of the photo makes the normal steering column look odd, but it is 'all correct'.

Has a hole in firewall for manifold heater - which is no longer present.

When you say right side do you mean as siting in the drivers seat? Thus the right side is where the carburetor is located. Any chance "the long part running parallel to the engine" is the frame?

That kinked and bent original fan is a time bomb with a very short fuse. Just a heads up for when you get it running.

Hm..'right side of engine'...long thing.lol
Firstly, when referring to side/side orientation, this is usually done as if YOU are sitting in the driver seat. With that orientation, the long thing on the right side of the engine is intake and exhaust manifolds. The long thing on the left side running parallel with engine is steering column. Does this make sense to you ?

BTW....take MikeK advice seriously regarding that FAN  !!

Yep...lol... I can see it's the steering column, now.... I guess it looks a little funny how it was shot...I know the right and left side is usually referred to from the drivers seat... thanks for the advice from all... This car is at Mark Oberly auction in Dundee, MI later in April in case anyone is interested. I am not interested in buying it...

Hmm doesnt look completely terrible but needs alot of rust repair. At an auction I'm gonna guess it would go for $1300 though...
