What A day for A drive ;)

My thermometer, the one on my porch, is pushing 70 and i couldn't feel better after a drive into town for groceries in my Huckster. She just purrs up and down the hills, and my rear main isn't as wet as it has been. My oil level is right in the middle of the stick, and i think it has found it's happy spot. A few drips from the water pump and a wet fuel bowl...all that makes me a happy cruiser.:p

Indeed! - All the healthy charactristics of a happy Model A!

Go ahead and rub it in - It's in the high 20's here in Delaware tonight with gobs of snow on the lawns and side streets and and salt on the roads. No cruisin' going on here.

C'mon Spring....

It's a beautiful day here too in NW Ohio, snow everywhere and it's beginning to get solid. So tomorrow, I will also go Cruisin'. Yes, while my little Model A is sittin' pretty and cozy in my heated garage, I will get on my Arctic Cat Snowmobile and go Cruisin'....!:p:D:o

Gotta say however, I'd rather be in the "A"...

My thoughts exactly! Any other car and i might be worried...i love it. And i got to spend the day today laid out under my '55 Chebby tracing the reason for a weak fuel supply:cool: I'll Send some of our 72 degree day, up your way...

Strange times, all over the country these days. Mid 70's today and 50 tomorrow. Fantom wind as i call it, cant be forecasted around here. At any given moment, a 40+ mph gust comes along when the weather calls for calm. And just look at what's heading to the NE again...hang on to yer hats! And to think i blew the entire day wrenching on a conventional 1955 automobile when i should've been A'ing.

We almost saw the sun today after 2 or 3 months of rain and fog!
Fred, Staring at your Huckster and mine below it on this thread, since they both fit on my screen, made me go change my avatar:) Just like at the car shows :D...my car is the best looking one ever.. at home, then one just like it pulls in next to me and mine dont look so good anymore. You do have one beautiful machine and i love the story behind it.

Gas with ethanol would eat up the fuel pumps in my MoPar 2.2 and 2.5 engines at the rate of one every few months.

Tom, I have 6 months on this mechanical pump so i dug up the reciept before even pulling it, as i have the utmost confidence in today's wonderful products, and was surprised to see it all good. My gas tank and fuel lines are a few years old so that's bad news. No telling what grade of metal they are. I have obstruction in the fuel line and numerous blasts with compressed air have done nothing to allieviate the spurt-trickle repeat i have, so i disconnected it from both ends, filled it with acetone using a turkey baster, slammed the hood and called it a night. Now, as i sit and ponder, it may not be a clog, i'll bet my plastic see-through filter has a pin hole in it on top where the fuel dont flow, letting air pass through, or somewhere on that $3 part. The plastic couldn't be any thinner.
