Wet sand blasting??

Glass bead is not aggressive enough (wrong media) for the removal of epoxy paint.
That, along with excessive air pressure is a recipe for disaster.
That may be but, it was the only thing available.

The aluminum I was working with was old traffic signs. They were free but, I didn't want the printed surface to show. It was in about '69 so, I assumed epoxy, rather than anything else available, in that day. But, my point is, that anything that peens a surface, will expand it, in relation to the opposing side and to be careful with thin sections of sheet metal.

Industrial painting companies used wet blasting when the AQMD squalked about dust.
After a while they went back to the dry sand.
