I went to the last meet of this year and got there late (11:00), but I found some steering col. and box parts for my convt. column. I thought the crowd was a little light for a meet that size, but the weather was warm and I was shopping for parts. A great day!

Always a good stop. lite on the flathead parts in my experience. The old flathead races are great!!!

Yep, you were definately late. We usually try to arrive by 8:30 or so. Some of the vendors are packing up by 11 or so. You never know what's going to show up there from month to month.

I think you have the Webster swap confused with the Zephyrhills meet. That's where they have the flatheads racing. And, you're right, it's great fun to watch the racing.

Geeez, yes you are right. Webster has two as well don't they. The car in sumter and then the bike and car just south of it. Been a few years, guess I'll have to go back.

I'd like to go to Zephyr meet, but I'll most likely be at my daughters in Tx. Is there anything in Jan or Feb in The Houston or Austin area?

My brother was planning on going to Sumter County yesterday. Haven't heard if he made it or had any luck finding T parts.

Chuck S,
Isn't Webster your stamping ground in the winter? Better get down here. Cold, but not as cold as NY.
John

There are 2 swapmeets in that area, one is actually in Webster at the Monday flea market place and 1 up the road in Bushnell about a mile and a 1/2. Not sure if they run on the same Sunday of the mth. Both are once a mth.Bushnell is bigger than the one in Webster i believe.Bushnell use to be at Webster yrs ago.Operators had a turmoil with Webster owner and moved up the road a long time ago. ken ct.

The meet actually in Webster is bike stuff, up the road at the Sumter County fairgrounds is car stuff. First Sunday every month except July & August, tooo hot! It is generally referred to as "Webster" by the car guys. As '39 says, get there early.

Yes John, it is my stamping ground. I ride my bicycle to the weekly, (every Monday) flea mart in Webster. So you know I'm close! The other one is the first Sunday of the month, and they have an extravaganza in February, 2nd or 3rd week. Here's their web site: http://www.floridaswapmeets.com/ Over the years I have found a lot of parts there, older flathead stuff is not that plentiful, but fairly priced when you find it.
I see it is in the 40's at night, but that's better than teens and snow everyday. I'll stay for Christmas and hope for a window of dry weather after that. I'll be driving a 66 ford f-100 down and I don't want to get it salted.
Hope to see Ken at Zephyrhills this year.

You wont see me there,i gave up all the shows down there.Im hopeing to come down for a couple of weeks in march for the barners bash.Bringing camper with most of my parts still in it for any body that needs something,BUT not going down to sell at any swaps, just a break from the cold up here. 28 deg. this morn. ken + Peg Isidor ct.Have a merry and warmer xmas Chuck.
