Ray -

Is yours the Weber F-6 that just sold on e-bay? If so, I congratulate you on a good deal! Good luck with your project.

Henry

The Howard F6 is a mild cam but my computer won't open my cam folder.Nice.
I used to run the Howard F-9 in the stock car and it was a popular street cam back IN THE 50'S. hAVE SOME HARD COPIES OF THE CAM SOMEPLSCE WILLL LOOK IT UP

Like Henry Kokomo said, glad a barner got it, I watched the bidding and looked at the pictures, when the specs. come I'll bet the duration is going to be close to 300 plus, with flat top on the lobe, I thing your looking at WOT cam, like for Bonnivelle salts. or it could be lots of fun on the street?? with a real rommti romti idel.. looks likle fun.... OLD....BILL

Weber did offer have an F-3 grind that did have over 300 degrees of duration. Like Old...Bill said is was designed to be a Salt Flats grind.

I had one and gave it my buddy in Erie PA. The lobe tip was so flat it looked like a table.

anyone got the specs on this thing?

You may not find them. For other non-Hamb folks. I posted this on there:

This is what I have from a old Weber grind list:

F-6: This is an original grind which is excellent for 1/4 mile drag strip use when pulling the heavier cars. Really "charges out hard" and "pulls all the way to the end."

Lift- .343" w/ 264 duration. (more than likely the duration is not at .050", but doesn't list it either way).

Hope this helps.

Well I checked through all my cam files and have most of the M series specifications and only a few of the F series including the F-9 and F-11. I think the F series are track cams and have a higher lift rate. You can use a degree wheel to check the timing and lift rate out. OR maybe Pete can shed some light on it.
Howard's F-5 is a very nasty cam and wouldn't be street able. Sorry, but it was fun to go through all the cam specs of dozens of cam grinders of the past. Some like Isky had dozens of different grinds. Including a hi lift rocker arm arangement for the Flathead.

thanks ron for putting in the effort.guess all i can do is try it and see what happens.so i can answer the next guys f-6 post.with 343 lift and 264 duration it may work on the street .those numbers kinda fall between the isky 77-b specs and the 88 specs.
