Yo' Bill Lee,
On Minerva, the addition of a Weber & a single point Mallory dist. made her like a DIFFERENT car!! Much better mileage with that setup! I had to go up 1 size on the primary intermediate jet. It changes easily from the outside, R/H SIDE OF THE CARB.
Mine ran generally lean, until I added an electric fuel pump, then it was still ever so SLIGHTLY LEAN, until I put the K&N air filter on, then it was PERFECT! With the accelerator pump, I didn't even need the choke, that I meticiouslly (sp?) disguised to look "STOCK"!
I will leave Vermin stock & see how he performs with a Zenith or a Tillotson.
Bill W. (Bill, piercemanifolds.com can help you with any jets you might need. They set me up with a kit of 1 size larger on all the fuel jets & one size smaller, on all the air bleeds. He based that on the sizes of the original jets, that came on my instruction sheet. Cost Me &65.00.
I think that SOME Weber's come jetted for a VW-Rabbit! I read that some suppliers re-jet them? I "think" Arizona Model A place does that??
Maybe some suppliers might "CHIME-IN"??
If you're using a Weber from an old Pinto, I read that the factory used a stop, to prevent the secondary from opening during break in, & sometimes it was NOT removed at the first dealer service!!
