Lots of very nice T's here to look at. We are getting ready for breakfest at the hotell. Hope my 27 makes it today on tour. This is it first run since I got it. It was restored in 1959 and sat until I got it. Fresh engine and ****** in it. Got all the oil leaks fixed finally. So I guess Redneck back on the road???

Nice to see you over here with the Black Sheep Squadron Royce...! I agree, pictures make the post and over here its soooooo simple compared to that arbeit stalag across the hall. Dont seem to get the lectures from the pulpit either.
So holding true to the tradition, hows about some pics from ol' Dallas???? Americas HOT SPOT... litterally! ws

Yup.... just to show my utter contempt for the MTFCA society, Im seriously thinking about building a ground pounder speedster like this one. Jacks got a sweet 1928 SeaGrave hose truck to start with but the logistics are a tuff one to overcome, storage being the biggy.

I forgot my camera and that not me. I am sorry about that. Just got back from a 114 miles in my 27 Roadster. It the first time I have had this car on a tour and it ran super. It has a new engine and ****** . The engine has dome pistons and a 280 cam. The ruckstell has 3 to 1 gears. The only problem I had was could not keep the fan belt tight. Ir ran cool without the fan belt? No water pump either. This 27 Is going to make a nice tour car for us. My grandaughter wants a T so I told her if she learns to drive it I would give her a T. We will see. In fact she can have all 4 T's that I have.We are starting home tomorrow morning about 5 AM or sooner. The T is loaded in the trailer ready to go home.

Why not use a boat engine, one of those 11 litre ones, and some generic steering column & axles from a modern big rig, add some motorcycle chain sprockets and old tractor wheels & make the whole thing look old. No harm done to vintage parts and as long as the hood stays closed they will never know it was not real.

11 litres might be a little small -- the Seagrave 6 cylinder T head is 16.6 litres - 1013 cubic inches!
At the risk of derailing the thread completely if one had the money to build one it might be worth joining going to the extra effort to fabricate a dedicated engine with old truck pistons, camshafts adapted from something else and welded on water jackets & such..

Here in Dallas it is kinda warm right now but I drove the 12 touring all day. Went to the grocery store, had quite a crowd around the car when I went outside with the goroceries. All were amazed (except me) when it started on a 1/4 pull on the crank.

Then had the monthly Lone Star Model T club meeting. There were only 2 cars there with 50 members in attendance. My car and Mitch Owen's 1910 touring.

Back home from the tour which was a very nice tour. My little 27 Roadster did a super job and made me proud. Only problem was could not keep the fan belt tight. The T ran ok with that and did not heat up. Next year the Ohio Jamboree tour is in Toledo, Ohio. Never have been there on tour. That sounds nice.Still nice to be home.

Glad ya made it, and sorry for taking your thred off topic... weirder things have happened! Mine hasnt tossed the belt yet this year, even tho the bottom pulley has that T clang clang clang from being loose. That thermo-barf system dont need no belt anyway, unless youre in town or a parade.
Lets see some pics! Even ol' Royce FINALLY posted one!! ws

Here pictures of my 3 T's that run and My grandaughter is going to get one when she learns to drive a T. We will see. She can take her pick. How that to keep the ols car going. :D
