Ways to Improve Fit

I have an early '30 Model A p/u, with stock '29 body. My problem is I'm 6' 3" and it's really awkward in the cab, especially when using the foot mechanicals. I can't be the only tall guy with an A. What, if any, solutions have been worked out for this dilemma? Lower seat? Thinner backrest? Off at the knees? My cab setup is presently bone stock. Thanks!

Only short folks shop for the Phone Booth Pickups.
In my '68 Datsun Pickup, I padded the back of the cab with Tuck & Roll, & used NO BACKREST. I did tuck & roll in the bed & could sleep, under the tarp.

My brother-inlaw blew all his money at the ***** bar.

Now he's a little short.

You could give that a try.

Thought perhaps something along those lines.

Been there, done that. I use to be 9'-3".

My apoligies, bad manner's on my part, I noticed that this is your 1st post, let me be the first to say...WELCOME TO THE BARN.

I am 6' 6" and about 200lbs.

Flexibility and slant window bodies.

If you want to appreciate the room in your pickup try a 28-29 open cab. Have someone to help you get in and out :) I am not sure I could physically drive one.

Fullraceflathead, the ***** bar down the street from my office had a sign twirler out in front recently offering Free Lunch. I thought that times must be tough when the ladies have to offer free lunch to attract customers.

Is that a reflection on the economy, or on the ladies?

i would try the thinner backrest and thinner seat cushions the vendors sell. about all you can do without some MAJOR work. they sell rear cab cornners that are 6" longer/deeper to give more leg room but that entaisl different roof wood and material, moving the bed around or modifying the bed to fit, etc.

Do you know anyone in particular that carries these? I did see the cab corners. I'd rather continue life as a contortionist, as I'd never find the time. Thanks for your time :)

I'm 6'2 230 pounds and extremely handsome. The handsome part does not matter to this particular post but I wanted to include it.
I could not fit in my truck so I bought the Snyder seat springs (bottom and back). They gave me much more room and I am very comfortable.

You think a Model A pick up is tough to enter, look at this. I am 6' 4", 200 lbs and very handsome. The car is a 1969 Lotus Europa, the one that got away.

My future wife took this photo in April 1969.
