Water Temp Gauge

I have been considering adding a water temp gauge to my 1930 Tudor. I have read that the motometer cap isn't too reliable. My car isn't boiling over, but I also cannot tell my temp. Maybe I'm too comfortable with all the conveniences in my modern iron as Henry didn't think the gauge was important.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Well worth the investment. If you recall your "Henry history" it was Edsel who
had to twist Henry's arm to create the "A" in the first place because Henry felt
that the "T" was all that was needed and the "A" just wasn't important. JMHO

I put one in my car and I would not be without it now. It will let you know when you are getting past your normal operating range, before the overheating starts....

I kinda like the safety stuff,... turn singles, seat belts, and batt. cut off sw.
But i think you can go two far with all the add on "thingey's".
The "A" model has been around a long time with out the need of most of them. i like to see them as close as posible to the way they were back in the day. I think your "A" model will give you plenty of time to let you know if something is going wrong, overheat etc. JMHO;).

I suggest a real temp gauge, oil pressure gauge, volt meter, oil filter, synthetic oil, electric disconnect and fuse, seat belts, better lights and alternator are protecting your INVESTMENT and your WELL BEING and can be installed without damaging your A. A quick glance of the gauges give you piece of mind. All can be removed for the purist and 24 out of 25 folks who walk up to admire you beautiful Model A will not recognize any of the changes. Just an opinion base on my past Model A experience. I love my Model A experience. I enjoy the forums and appreciate the help over the years.

If you have a clean block and a good radiator you don't need a temp guage. If it boils, you've got other problems or you're driving it wrong.
