WATER PUMPS '46-'48 in a 1932

Will the water pumps on a '46-'48 59AB work in a 1932 frame? It seems to be a restrictive setup, so do people retrofit '32-'36 water pumps to the later block or how is the best way to handle it??
Thanks!!

Its not the water pumps so much as the crank .You would need to cut the end of crank/nut ? or lift the motor at the front . maybe run a electric fan . Others may have more on the subject .

I used water pumps from Speedway for a 40-48 car in my 32 - sits right and all but it's tricky getting the motor in/out. I actually have to remove the front spring u-bolts so the pulley has enough room to pass in/out. I also believe the front crossmember has been cut away a bit as well but that was done by the previous owner.

I've posted a couple pics to hopefully show the clearance - I used the later wide belt fan setup as you can see.

It's probably obvious to all here, but just in case... Yes, the 46-48 waterpumps work just fine. But in a 32, if you are trying to do a 'bolt-in', then the 32 motor mount engine brackets are used, and that leaves the 46-48 water pump mounts 'hanging in the breeze'. If you want to support the front of the engine from the 46-48 water pump mounts, then you would need to fab a frame bracket. Addn'l note... 32 engine bracket needs to be 'clearenced' for the 46-48 belt.
Just opinion -- results may vary...
