Water pump packing

I have what appears to be a leakless water pump that is starting to drip. Can I use regular packing in it and just keep going?
 
Don"t think you can use packing on a leakless pump, I tried once and could"nt get it to stop, best call one of the venders or e-mail them, they can guide you in the right direction, leakless pump is made different, I went back to the old style and carry extra packing..some times new isn"t always better ..SNYDERS..TOLL FREE 888-262-5712 OR Mac"s 877-220-8230

And some new things ARE BETTER! What if ALL the cars on the road used ROPE or LEAD water pump packing & maybe they forgot to grease the pump & adjust the packing NUT 'afore they drove "OFF INTO THE SUNSET"-----------------------------------???
