Warford

The first Warfords from the 28-29 bolted up to the back of the 3 spd transmission (same as car) and took the place of the shortshaft, Some place easrly to mid year of 29 they changed to the 4 spd. So there are afew variables here. I think the biggest challange would be a U-jount to couple the two together. There is some mixing and matching of torque rube caps and such that likely can be done to get them to physicly mate up, but U-joints have me thinking this will be a real challange. Rod

Thanks, Bob, the '29 Warford was for sale locally and got me thinking... is there a Warford that will provide overdrive as well as under? ..B.

Yes the one I sold a guy several years, was a spd with over, under and straight drive. That is the only AA Warford I have ever layed my hands on. They are rare to find, but some are still out there. I am hoping the next pile of AA parts I am heading to look at North of here later this summer has one. My cousin bought the cab from it several years ago and my Grandpa used to work at times for the owner. It had a water well drill rig on it at that time. I have not seen the truck since I was about 9, so the details of what was there 30+ years ago are very vague. Rod
