Wanting ideas on good downdrft carb

I've run both a single 81 and a single 97, and the 97 ran as good throughout the RPM range and developed more power overall. Always start with stock jetting, and tune from there.

I have most anything you need in carbs, strom 81's ,ford-holley 81-92 ,strom 97's and ford #847 6cyl ones all fresh rebuilds. ken ct PM or Email. Also have a bell crank, not sure if 1 is needed with a single carb. Bolts to intake and cast alum and kind of Y shaped w/o the lower leg. hooks to carb and throttle rod. brand new.

I'm running a pair of the English 97's on my roadster and the Ford six carb on a Stromberg-Bendix manifold on my 1929 CCPU. I recently sold an EFI setup that used the Ansen manifold and it worked great.

Planning on running a 97 LZ here. Still looing for an older single downdraft manifold for it. Don't really have the money for it right now, so just window shopping mainly at this point. have a 5.9 BF head and a Stipe B cam. Along with oversized intakes it should be pretty decent. Rod
