I bought a 21 speedster that was done in the 80s.. I like everything about it but seats are like 2 mg seats. Any ideas? Or something that you have that would work and look more time period? Thanks. Eric. Steam6@frontier.com

Theres a guy on ebay that sells them but they aint cheap... Im trying to be period correct with mine too and have a pair of steel 55 gallon barrels to cut up for real bucket seats. They are 22" OD btw... just trying to build it like they did in the old days... ws

The problem with the Rootlieb seats and those from Antique T Motor Sports is that their backs are too high and that their bases are made from (silently vomiting here) plywood. Originally 55-gallon drums were cut and those are the perfect, period-correct Speedster bucket seats. What you could do is buy those buckets, cut them down, the replace the plywood with recycled hardwood.
