In need of original or nice used muffler clamps & hangers for a '33 V8. Don't want to use the universal kinds.

I couldn't find any reproduction clamps & hangers so I'm having a local shop fabricate a set. I am surprised that nobody sells reproduction hangers for a '33 / '34 V8 Ford. Does anyone have any interest? If so, I might have the shop fabricate a few sets for sale if the fabrication price is right.

I'm wondering if any of the '33-'34 parts are the same as '35-'36? I've managed to collect several nice used sets of original '35-'36 exhaust hangers, and it seems to me I have also seen these advertised in recent catalogs as items manufactured for aftermarket. Maybe DavidG would have some info on this.

I thought the authentic system was welded so no need for clamps? Or, were the authentic a clamp / hanger "assembly"?
Dave, maybe you can weigh in here???

The clamp & hangers are being made to match the originals. I am restoring a '33 which has a couple universal hangers. I wanted a more original look so I'm using my other '33 as a guide for originality. I am also having a 2" original style clamp made for the Y pipe to the front of the muffler. I do realize that Ford welded this connection, but I don't want to do that in case I want to change the muffler in the future.

Mike,

Yes, the original muffler and inlet pipe were a one-piece affair, but there were three clamps on the two tail pipe pieces and on a V-8 one for the crossover pipe.

The rearmost clamp on '33-'34s is very similar to that of the '35-'36 counterpart, but they are not the same as the angles of the tailpipes relative to the chassis frame rails differ.
