I need the lock assembly & key for a 30-31 scroll door handle.
Would consider complete door handle assembly as well.
Are the door & rumble locks for the 68-C the same?

There were a few manufacturers. I beleive the B&S have the little "dot" to depress the "keeper". You must have the same mfg., if so, I think the lock cylinder interchanges on door and rumble.
They are sort of hard to find in restored or restorable condition.

By April 1931 all locks on a given new Model A could be operated by the same key. The 68C was announced in March, 1931, but all the 68B bodies were to be used up first, and 68C's were promised by May, 1931. Therefore it is fairly safe to say your cabriolet had one key to fit all locks. Those lock cylinders are referred to as "interchangeable" in the judging standards, and are removable from the handle easily by inserting the proper key, depressing a "tang" beneath the small hole at 3:o'clock in the face, (a stiff wire will work) and simultaneously turning the key counter clockwise.
Unfortunately it seems that there are more handles out there than there are lock cylinders for them. You may have to buy a lesser handle with the same type cylinder just to get its cylinder. It doesn't have to be a scroll handle. Unless you also get a working key with it, it will probably be necessary to dismantle the handle, or carefully cut it away from the cylinder. With the interchangeable cylinder handles there is no key number on the shaft, it's on the cylinder itself and you can't see it until it is out....big help. These cylinders sometime swell and cannot be turned, making it impossible to remove them with a key and very iffy by any other approach. Try to find one that isn't stuck. Good luck, and you may pm me if you need more help. Dave
