Wanted:49-53 MERCURY MOTOR

I have a complete, rebuilt engine like you are asking about. I got it rebuilt and put it on a test stand, ran it and put it in a building for installation in a '49 I had. I sold the car and kept the engine. I will get it out and get it running again if you are interested. It has the carb, water pumps, etc (if someone hasn't stolen the stuff). The rebuild job was over $3500 not including the accessories. I will take $3200 and it will be ready to install. I live in North Carolina if that is not too far.
 
v8fordman's motor is a good deal. $500 bucks or so might get you a "core" motor that would need to be completely rebuilt. If you have to hire it done you will have much more that $3200 in the motor.
