Looking for a nice 32 Ford pedal assembly to use with my stock K member/stock frame. Don't know the difference between the 4 & 8 cylinder pedals. My knowledge as to using the stock pedal assembly with a 5 speed/327/stock bones is limited. I've seen it done. I've built hotrod chassis for 30 years, but the repro deal is totally different. I don't want to reinvent the wheel just need to get it done in the simplest way possible. Help

Re: 32 Pedal Assembly

The stock K member is cut up so bad it is useless when using the Chevy/5 sp. You would be better off using the Chassis Engr. X mem. I have a stock K member in my roadster with a red ram and chevy trans. I used a hemi to flathead adapter and then a flathead to chevy trans adapter. This gave me the Ford clutch mech. so I could use the Ford type pedals. The 5 sp will not fit the K member without enlarging the bottom of the hole and cutting the top completely away. The old Chevy 3 sp clears fine. I would use the CE X mem and rig up a hydraulic clutch.
99% of folks using the stock K mem. use the early Ford trans.

Re: 32 Pedal Assembly

I have a pretty nice frame with the center cut as required. Maybe swap? The clutch linkage is the problem but can be fixed by buying the adapters to get the ford linkage. The pedals are all the same. I might throw in some pedals if you want to swap. The thing to do is add a torque box to the back of the K member remains and add legs to make a X member using the front legs of the K member.
I have a torque box and legs in my roadster and it stiffened it up about 20 times even with the stock K member
