I have a 3 speed out of a 56 car that I'd take $100 for.It worked OK when the car was scrapped.I've looked inside it and it appears to to be in good shape.I don't have any way to ship it,so you'd have to pick it up.I'm in central Missouri. If interested phone 660 888 2213.

I have a shifter for it if you need one....John

i had a 55 t-bird for almost 50 years
just something to think about
to put a tran in a 55 bird is on easy task
if there other reason
there is no way i would put a standard 3 speed
there are a lot of reason to use a 3 speed o/d

I have a nice 3 speed , not overdrive, transmission for your Ford. Fine spine front and rear. I also have a Hurst shifter made for this trans. I live north of you near Iowa/wis border. For some gas money, I can meet you half way to pick up. $100 on the trans and $50 on the shifter. Call me at 608-738-1861.
