Wanted: 1946/47 driveshaft

Hello, I am looking for a 46/47 ford driveshaft, to fit in my 46 merc. The torque tube is 72 inches long and I am looking for a shaft I believe is 68 inches long. Been a bugger to find: eek:
Turns out Ujoints eat splines haha

You may want to place this in the "swap meet" that can be found at the top of the page in the red ribbon, place it in Wanted, Early V-8.

The Mercury drive shaft and tube are longer than the Ford one. Which do you need? I have both, Ford in Pa and Merc in Florida. You better get a good U joint before installing another one. G.M.

Thanks all for responding. 42 merc is right fords and Mercs my year are the same. But before that they were 2 inches different ( not very interchangeable for someone like ford to make, for Christ sakes he used to reuse engine crates for roofs and boards.)
Kube I do still need one but I was hoping for something local, I see that you are in Wisconsin and I cannot get away from work since im an intern and they have me working 6 days a week and no vacation or sick days for me haha.
