Here is a B engine I started building I think about 4-5 years ago. I had the mains babbitted, This is an engine that is a factory rebuilt with the pressed on counter weights, you have to remove those weights before you can grind the rod journal, that's quite a projects. I finally got cote up on customer engines so thought I ought finish this B engine. Walt

Walt, she's a beauty. Nice work. What color is that ?.

Have you got your pea's in yet ?.

Nice looking motor Walt. I blew up the B motor in my 28 Leatherback last year. I've been planning to rebuild it but have been overcome with procrastination.

Can you share some details on the carburettor and fuel pump?

Hi Jake. I think that's the same paint we painted your engine (British Racing Green) Rockie has started vergie from seed in the house. Snow won't be gone until labor day, might be a little late to plant. LOL Walt

Looks great Walt! By any chance do you have a picture of the crankshaft? I've never seen one and am a bit curious.

I don't have a pic of those cranks with the press on counter weights. I have another crank in storage barn like that, I'll try to get a pic and post it. Maybe someone on the Model A site may have a pic in there puter. Walt

Hey Walt,
THANKS much for sharing ! Great looking B engine ! One good B deserves another, eh :) ! I know that you appreciate pictures also, so here is a B that I'm trying to get fired. I have a question for you also.
Notice the 'stand' that I have bolted onto my B. It is not fancy, but will it do to fire off/break in my engine, in your opinion ?

Hey Walt,
Coopman is correct, i.e.- Super Winfield 7.5:1. 4" bore, 13/4" intakes, full pressure, 59 AB oil pump from one of my buddies here :) It has Chrysler 'bigfoot' six cyl lifters..single lock...HUGE base. Poured Babbitt rods and mains. C crank.
Again, Walt do you see anything wrong with running new engine on a minimal home made stand ? And, is it a bad thing to break in a new engine without flywheel attached ??
