Have owned a few Model A Ford sedans over the decades, but until now have not actually glanced at an over the windshield sun visor.
Need to remove the visor from the 31' Tudor sedan. In the process of cleaning up the windshield assembly with new hardware and grommets. Figured while in that area to get behind there to inspect the header. Looks as if amateur "restorers" around the time of the Eisenhower Administration had the visor off and failed to align it properly to the post on the driver's side.
Took out the screws on both sides of the visor. Pulled off the beat-up crudely installed front top molding piece to expose tabs of the visor. There were some flat head screws nailed into the wood, which were easy to remove with a small pry tool and needle nose pliers. There are however a few objects protruding through some of the visor tab holes that appear to be pins or maybe nails with broken off heads. (?) Okay then, so what is the slick trick on removing the visor without destroying the automobile?
Any suggestions are much appreciated.
