Vintique Door felts

I've got a set of Vintique door felts to install on my 47 Tudor. The directions say to either use the screws in the box or re-use original clips or order replacement clips. Wondering what guys have found as the best route to go. Also trying to figure out how to make holes without making a mess of the felt?
I've also got their Vent window rubber kit. Looking for suggestions on peening the rivets to install the new rubbers.
Thanks Don

I would use the clips if they are usable.Using the screws I did(on my 36 5W)not get one in deep enough and chipped the edge of the glass when rolling it up from the down postion.I used an ice pick to poke the holes in the felt.

The vent window upper hinges take a 5/32" pop rivet IIRC. I ordered a big bag from Amazon and only used like 8; 4 for my vent windows and 4 for my kickout rear quarter windows. If you have a Super Deluxe, the crank out vent window regulator takes 3/16" rivets to reattach to the garnish. Nows a good time to repaint/rewoodgrain the trim. I didn't reinstall the rivets in the ends of the vent window seals. They fit pretty tight in the channel. You could probably use 4/40 machine screws in place of the brass rivets. Its a chore to reinstall the seals, I started at the bottom, once the frame lower pivot is inserted through the garnish. With the window turned out 90 degrees, work the seal up around the front corner of the opening. I used lots of soapy water and a dull screw driver from the side which won't be visible once the garnish is installed. Then you have to reattach the upper pivot with rivets which can't be too long or the rubber won't lay down over the blind end.

None of this will make any sense until you start to try putting those in. I had heard complaints about Vintinque stuff but they fit fine for me.
