Vintage License Plates?

In Maryland you can run YOM plates, but I keep the historic tags in the car. I have never had a problem. As in other states, the number cannot be already registered. I got some YOM for my 28 that are getting restored. I didn't check with the state first, but called them yesterday and they had no record of another of that number, so hopefully I will have my "new" ones back from the restorer and mounted soon.

another Marylander here,if you use original plates here, you pay every year.if car or trk is 60 years or more historic plates are a 1 time registration with a special black sticker. tom
