I was visiting an older friend whose career was as a GM mechanic and technician. He has rebuilt so many GM engines over the years that there are barrels of used rockers, valves, springs, pushrods etc. in his shop next to his head rebuilding equipment. Anyway, while looking thru that used valve-related stuff (before it goes to scrap) I noticed he also had a couple of valve seat grinding pilots hanging on his rack that looked possibly like Ford Flathead rather than GM. I asked him about them, and he wasn't sure what they were but said that he'd gotten them from his Dad 40 or so years ago, and had never used them (they look unused). I thought what the heck, and made him an offer for the pair, which he accepted. Unlike his GM pilots, these two look like lollipops with one having a 1 1/32 inch head and the other having a .850 inch head. What have I got???
