Vintage cars out there doing it .

When I grow up I want to do that. But I would first have to learn how to drive on the wrong side of the road.

Headonz, looks like a great time.

A couple questions: On a right hand drive Model-A, the accelerator is near the center of the car, and the clutch pedal near the door post? I have never seen one. Also, what do/did you do as a profession? Your closest friend in the local club did what as a profession? I don't know what people do there. Place looks nice.

Hi Gene F ,
On my car it was the very first thing I changed. The accelerator was between the clutch and brake peddle on the floor. You had to do this crazy tap dance everytime you wanted to stop.I moved the accelerator to the normal position and heated and bent the brake pedal arm to the left.
I was a carpenter/builder when I did not venture into blacksmithing and farrier work.I had a team of draft horses and thought I was Amish for a while.:) Back in my youth I had old cars that I did major work on in my spare time .I dont belong to a club so cant speak for them but imagine most would be a cross section of society with penchant for old cars and sight seeing the roads less traveled.I heard that , that rally had to be restricted to 40 cars to keep it manageable.Remember this is the south island on NZ so think small towns and lots of agricultural .HTHs

How much help were the midgies when you were on the west coast???
I prefer a coast to coast drive here - much more driving, thus more fun!!

Thanks for sharing our video Headonz!

I'll get round to editing the full version with interviews about the cars and people.

Just back from some hill climb events at Coronet Peak & VCC hillclimb in Lumsden. Films to come soon!

Thanks for putting up these videos ,I know its a lot of work (hours) .

But back to Bob's question .How many of these cars would be running air filters . ?? My guess would be many if not all ?

In our pickup we did get filter out a few times to empty it, most of those cars will have airfilters... in the long video will do get a closer look under the hood and talk with a few car owners.
