Nitpicking here: VIN stands for "Vehicle Identification Number", so to say 'Vin number' is redundant. you're actually saying "vehicle identification number number". Now I better go out the garage and actually do something constructive!
"hot water heater in their basement" That's where mine is.Maybe redundant but I bet the vast majority of people say it that way. VIN has become a word in out fluctuating English language so it is just said that way, Vin number.
LOL because it is a heater that heats cold water to make it hot. Or that's just how many/I say it.![]()
In the same vain, a lot of people seem to have a hot water heater in their basement.
Don't know about other states, but the serial number boxs on our titles list it as VIN. Which is what it is. VIN and serial number being both the same in this case and most people understand and use the shortened version VIN.
