Hi
I have a vibration in my 63 1/2 Falcon V8 260. It feels like a U-joint. but that has been checked out. U-joints, drive shaft, rear wheel bearings have been replaced along with front end ball joints and tie-rods. Drive shaft angle is right on within a 1/2 of a degree. The tires have been balanced and checked for out or round.I do not notice it at low speeds, but I do at high-way speeds. Could it be the rear auto-matic transmission bushing? RH

I chased a vibration all this spring when I went to a T5 conversion in my 57 Ford. Pinion angle was off a bit, but a worn rear trans bushing was 90% of my vibration. Still vibrates a bit between 60-70 but is driveable until I can figure out the rest.

I don't know what trans you have. Had a Maverick or Granada come into the dealership once, 6 cyl C4. Tech was at wits end trying to figure it out. He finally pulled another 'just like it' car in and started swapping components. Ended up being the flexplate had tossed a weight, causing the vibration.
