Veterans Day

After High School went in the Army 1959 and got out in 62. Was about broke so went to work for Ford. Money was a lot better there. They wanted us to drive a Ford. So I bought a Model A Ford and they left me alone after that. $1200 I paid for the Ford and a good car. Did not miss the Army much. :D
 
I was an apprentice toolmaker at GM,at 16 I bought a 28 model A to go to and from work in,
I got told, that does,t look good for me to bring a ford into our car park.

I was called up into the Australian army 50 years ago in Oct 1967 to do my 2 years National service. My ears are still ringing as well. My grandfather served 4 years in France in WW1 and came home in 1919 with damaged lungs from the gas. We will always remember these remarkably brave men. Lest we forget. Regards, Kevin.
