Vent Window Seal Replacement

The passenger door vent window never worked correctly. It seemed the lower rubber side was too thick to close it. In fact, the handle mount area has been bent outward. Whoever installed it did not do the installation properly. I ripped it out to operate the vent easier for the time being.....I didnt realize how expensive a new set of rubbers are, I will have a new drivers side that I won't need but, what is the correct position of the vent window frame when installed in the door? I'm thinking it must be equidistant? Perhaps the adjustment is off which prevented proper operation? Is there someone who has done this work that can give me pointers?

if I remember correctly there is the pivot you see from the outside and a nut with a spring for tension under the frame this job is better done off the car as you have to take it apart when reassembled you can check the operation before reinstalling after the one you may want to install the other you may want to use a lubricant to fit rubber to frame dish soap or wd 40 although messy works good if you could post a pic either here or pm me I may be able to assist further

The top of the vent window frame is a little bit shorter than the bottom and the bottom has the closer/handle. The reproduction rubber gaskets, although they do fit in the channel, still leave much to be desired as the rubber prevents the vent window from opening all the way. Not much you can do about it unless you want to try to do a lot of whittling on the rubber, but then it would look bad.
