Velleman transistorised ignition

I've used Velleman kits in the past, the latest an electronic voltage reducer (12v to 6v) for my stock '55 Ford Temp and Fuel gauges. Comprehensive kit, works great, never a problem. And was fun making my own.

As far as the ignition is concerned, I haven't had any experience but it sounds interesting... And you have bragging rights. You can tell everyone you "built" your own Electronic Ignition System.:rolleyes:

Thank for the input Y, I appreciate it.
I've read positive things about this and I'll give it a shot. Its not expensive and readily available nearby. I've got a best buddy who is a champ at electronics and he said ok to build it for me, easy cheesy, so I dont collect credit on this one.
To be honest, I dislike these things under hood, but a fact is that the car runs much better, steady, strong, so there is benefit in this.
I'll report later when I get it done.
BTW, cataract surgery tomorrow (yes my underwear needs a wash) so sorry if this doesnt get built right away and my response delays.
Regards.

This surgery is a piece of cake. Nothing to worry about. Follow instructions after, don't bend over, don't lift, keep clean. Nothing to get your undies in a knot about.
Good luck anyway!
