Always wondered why that undercover DMV guy was parked 7 days a week by my house.
Frank - My '48 F-1 is registered in PA as an antique and has a year of manufacture plate. I had to pay extra for it, but the registration does not have to be renewed every year - it is marked "Permanent". Also, I haven't heard the "one day a week" thing - I drive it a lot during the summer. I applied for the registration at a local AAA office and didn't go near the DMV. And, as an antique, it doesn't have to be inspected. Good Luck!!
I love Buster Keaton. Some great early comedy!!!
Thanks for you help.
That one day a week thing may be one of those unenforceable laws that just keep you aware that you are not supposed to use this car for general use.
Frank,
Get the plates, don't obsess about all the DMV bull s--t. No cop is going
to sweat you unless you blister away from a stop light.

“It is unlawful for any person to operate a motorcycle or vehicle with antique, classic or vintage registration plates for general daily transportation. Permitted use shall be limited to participation in club activities, exhibits, tours, parades, occasional transportation and similar uses.”
Alan, If this is your method of operation, you may want to rethink it. There are some major insurance carriers that will NOT cover your car if it's in " the grocery store lot" even for a few minutes....And as for "driving to and from car shows and parades", anywhere you park it is a car show, and wherever you drive is a parade.
So, there you were, on your way to the parade, waving to the folks on the curb, and decided to pull into the grocery for a loaf of bread while your car was on display in the parking lot car show!
