Vaporizer overhaul...

would like some pointers from the Ford Barn "T" folks on the vaporizer as I am waiting for several restoration/service manuals in the mail.

The current one is on a running power plant but needs to be cleaned up. I'm from the Stromberg/Flathead side of Ford Barn and new to the model T and any input would be great.

thanks for the input, I do have a very nice NH that I will go through this fall and have as a back up. Again were I'm new to the T is there much rod or linkage adjustment to adapt an NH were a vaporizer now is?

To remove the vaporizer and replace with the NH you need a new exhaust and intake manifold. You will need different throttle and choke/air mixture rods as well. If your car is a factory original vaporizer, you may not have a hole in the block between #2 and #3 cylinders for the throttle rod to pass through.

My vaporizer worked great. Started and idled really nice. The only problem was I would run out of power at higher throttle settings. I think this is the nature of this manifold.
