Valve train parts

My A has never idled the best but seemed to run real well otherwise. Did a cylinder leakage test tonight and found a leaking exhaust valve on #1. I removed the head and the valve was just starting to burn. I am going to replace all the valves, guides, springs, etc.

Should I replace everything with the original design valves and two piece guides or install the modern version? Just wondering about any advantages or disadvantages to either setup. I am leaning toward the modern type with one piece guides.

I am sure this has been discussed before so I apologize if it is an old subject, just got tired of searching posts looking for opinions either way.

Thanks,
Pete

I just got my new modern set installed over the weekend. Can't wait till I can get everything back together and try them out.
